If you just want to stop hearing from them while in the same chat room, just double-click on their head and choose 'Vaporize' or 'Silence' from the drop-down menu. If you want to permanently block them, add them to your Address Book, then go to your Address Book and choose to permanently vaporize and/or block ymail from them.
