Vaccines work by mimicking viruses without making you sick, both in real life and in Whyville. Vaccines sets your immune system into motion to produce antibodies. These antibodies will protect your body against viruses that look similar to the vaccine. The trick is to design a vaccine that looks a lot like the virus, but doesn't make you sick like the virus.
